Yes, believe it, there is actual FAKE Plasti Dip aerosols out there! Rest assured, all Plasti Dip from us, is genuine USA made Plasti Dip sourced directly from the Plasti Dip factory in the USA.
You would actually be incredibly surprised who sells the FAKE non USA made Plasti Dip aerosols!!!
See the pictures below to compare. One of the easiest ways to tell, if they sell colours that Plasti Dip USA do not make. For example, in the standard colours range, Plasti Dip USA do NOT make orange, green or brown. If they are selling them, how can you trust the rest??
The Fake ones have less rubber and use more thinner, so they are cheaper. The benefit of less rubber and thinner is they don't need warming. But you'll need more coats, its harder to peel, and less self levelling.

Fake colours Plasti Dip USA do not make.

Fake have labels are paper - Real has shrink plastic around the can (there are a couple of exceptions).

Fake cans are not domed tops - Real ones are.

Fake ones do not have colour and manufacture date stamped on bottom - REAL ones do.

Fake ones have 400ml as the size - Real ones are labelled as 311g / Net Weight 11 oz.

Fake are clear lids with a sticker - Real lids are the actual colour (there are a couple of exceptions).
